The People Behind Better Snax

First of all, thank you for being here! We are the sister team behind Better Snax. Jackie and I are both Moms to 3 small children each and live in Nashville, TN. We started Better Snax after becomming increasingly frustrated with the availability of truly clean snacks. Many companies claim to be clean but still have lots of additives, sugar, etc. Labels are hard to read and we wanted to make it easier! Beyond wanting to find a solution for families to find and purchase clean and good for you snacks, we have personal inspiration behind our mission. Our Mom is a huge inspiration behind the drive to make clean snacks easier to find and purchase. She is a cancer survivor three times over. When she was first diagnosed, our whole family started paying closer attention to what we were putting on and in our bodies every day. One of us spent years working in the clean beauty industry and learned a great deal about label reading and understanding what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in it. Fast forward to when both of us had children and we increasingly realized how hard it is to find good foods, particularly snacks for on-the-go families that are good for you. Our Mom is a huge part of the inspiration behind our why.

We also have another sister (any other three girl families out there - we see you!). Our sister has a growing family with young children and is very deliberate on everything her children consume. We have great respect for how intentional she is on what her children eat and this made us pause and think, this is important! It is especially important as more and more of us pay closer attention to what we are consuming. Our sister is also a huge part of the inspiration behind Better Snax.

We by no means expect everyone to swap out entire pantries! We live our lives very 80/20. There's room and margin but we hope that making good for you snacks easier to vet and maybe introducing you and your family to a snack you love that's also good for you is a total win!
